Sinopsis
Un documental que nos permite conocer la historia de un género (el punk) y de un momento histórico (fines de los 70) a partir de la historia de su mejor banda: The Clash. La amplitud musical de estos ingleses permiten trazar un mapa de la música y la sociedad inglesa de finales de los años 70 y comienzos de los 80.
El Clash Westway to the World: Este documental combina entrevistas recientes y material anterior para obtener una visión completa de The Clash, una de las bandas de rock más influyentes. Imágenes de muestra antiguo club y conciertos en estadios se intercalan con entrevistas a miembros de la banda de Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, Topper Headon, y Joe Strummer. El choque comenzó como punks rebeldes deseosos de combinar sus influencias: Simonon se inclinó hacia el reggae, y Jones se inclinó hacia británica de rock duro-afilado, mientras que Strummer favorecidas de R & B. A pesar de varias batallas y conflictos, The Clash surgido como "la única banda que importaba", una banda de punk rock que se aventuraron más allá de punk para crear un sonido único e inolvidable.
